Lucy Norton is a storyteller with Koori and Peruvian-Quechua heritage, based on Gadigal Country in Sydney.

She writes in a range of forms, exploring memory, place, identity, and the connections between people. Her work moves through themes of ancestry, grief, healing, and transformation, reflecting on how our experiences shape the ways we mend ourselves and the world we share.

Her poems have appeared in publications such as Overland Literary Journal, Cordite Poetry Review, Industrial Estate, and Island Magazine.

She is a 2026 fellow of The Wheeler Centre's program, The Next Chapter, receiving The Malcolm Robertson Fellowship for poetry. Currently, she is working on her debut poetry manuscript.

Outside of her writing, she manages an Oral History program that is focused on truth-telling, cultural knowledge preservation and Indigenous data sovereignty.

She is also a trainer and facilitator of Yarn SMART, a culture-based harm reduction program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. In addition to that work, she is an Integrative Psychotherapist in training, with foundational certification in First Nations Narrative Therapy.

Lucy enjoys performance, collaboration with other writers and artists, and facilitating workshops for both children and adults, believing that everyone has a story worth telling.
